The staff is very friendly and the place is very tidy. Unfortunately, some dishes are frozen goods. Four stars for the staff, one for the kitchen or the restaurant management.

Unfortunately, I have to assign a star to be able to post my review. Since we are not from the area, we are spared another visit and with it the terrible hamburger "green tree burger". Had ordered three of them and couldn't eat all three, too salty meat and not well done bacon, also the Country Frize. The schnitzel wasn't freshly prepared either, it was a Conviens product. You could see this clearly in the shape and breading. Despite a complaint, we had to pay the full price of 11.90 € / hamburger even if none of the hamburgers was eaten. We were told "that we will be the first to not like it". Didn't feel very welcome.

We have eaten here several times and gladly. Last time we were there a little too early. Could only choose from a small menu. We would have liked to have been told when we placed the order that e.g. you can get the dishes with spaetzle instead of fries without any problems. Unfortunately, the notice only came after we had eaten and paid. It's a shame, because we were there because of the spaetzle.

Very good service, young man from Thuringia! Food very good! We sat outside in the sun. We were only annoyed by silly conversations with mask refusals behind us, who didn't want to go to the salad buffet in the restaurant with a mask. The waitress was incompetent when talking to the Swabian family. At the beginning a wonderful, especially humorous menu with so many delicious choices that it is difficult to decide. Very friendly hosts with an eye for wishes before they have been expressed, the food is delicious, the desserts exquisite and tasty, the choice is difficult here too. We will of course come back soon, because we felt very comfortable ?

A delicious dinner with fantastic desserts and not to be skipped salad. The French fries were incredible. The prices were very reasonable, especially for the area. The outdoor setting on the porch was beautiful. We enjoyed listening to the horses and watching them from a distance. Our dogs were welcomed as well. Our waitress was lovely and did her best to accommodate my wife's food allergies.

Very nicely located restaurant, I like to eat there on vacation, salad bar is great and the food is excellent ..... will definitely return there next year / vacation .... !!!!!!!!!

After 14 years we were here for the first time and it was terrifying. The service was very nice, but the place was dark and the aisle of "closure" wafted through the hallways. The food itself was so average that it will probably be another 14 years before we turn up there again. Too bad it used to be something. Nothing has changed optically in the last 14 years, except for the steep prices. What I can not understand: Why you don't even bother to take the customer seriously despite so few reviews, are always the same 2 answers. Either: "Thank you for your rating. We look forward to your next visit. Your team from the Gasthof Grüner Baum in Lonsingen." - Or: "We regret..blablabla" - Always the same standard texts ...

Unfortunately, the chicken died twice. Very very dry. The schnitzel in curry was unfortunately not good either. The sauce was not good.

So far 4 stars from me. Since today only 2 stars, since the prices have increased significantly. The salad from the buffet is now charged extra at 4.50 euros. The schnitzel with salad now costs € 16.30.

In itself, economy is clean and orderly. But what is not at all possible to serve ready-to-eat breaded schnitzel. My little son had spagethi with tomato sauce, tomato sauce tasted like ready-made sauce. So I think fresh cooking is a foreign word here. I had to wait 30 minutes for a drink. I couldn't order a second drink because it no longer came to take something. After I wanted to pay I had to wait 45 minutes for it to come back. Ready cans, frozen vegetables, etc. We won't come anymore.

Unfriendly staff that can not even greet. Potato salad warm as if it had been the day before and warmed up. TK schnitzel, cola tasted as if it had been diluted, extremely overpriced prices. There is no reason to visit the restaurant again
